Subject: Love that Mildred
Mildred Bailey's early recordings with Whiteman are underrated, maybe because she was trying to fit in with all of that orchestration, so wasn't as loose and relaxed as she late became. But I love them. The sound quality of this recording is fabulous.

Subject: Fantastic
Is all I can say, after hearing this for decades on old 78's. I must say this a breath of spring air! My hope is that as audio technology grows the true sound of this wonderful recording will come forth. But this does not take away from what we have at the moment.

Many Thanks Internet Archive.

While I'll pospone my review of "CD" material until later in my review. I always loved this song ever since I was a little boy listening to in on a real phonogragh... with tube amplifier and all. I much prefer that version to anything created on a CD today. Call me a "Purist but that is still a better version. If you know anything of sound quality then you should also know that true sound has a very warm full texture, of which CDs try to replicate but simply cannot. True sound recording offers the full wave spectrum of anything applied to it while CD only offers a portion (the wave is clipped or squashed in order to fit into a uniform consistency in order to fit the construct of CD material) of it's original quality. The warmth is gone but some of the sound is retained. While I might disagree with "tijuanagringo" on those points, I still fondly love this song and also found that a half-decent equalizer corrects these flaws with out taking away the warmth.

Three minutes and eighteen seconds of quality. Quality band, quality music, quality recording. Smooth quickstep with very little background noise or bothersome scratching buzz.

Subject: My Mother used to sing this
My mother likes to record songs, and she recorded this at some point. I like old music, not new music!
